Handles are everywhere. From public transport to private residential dwellings, from external gate to internal cabinets, as long as the need for opening and closure, a handle is required to facilitate such actions. I truely believe in the beauty of design, the discipline it involves and the enhancement it brings to everyday life. Door handles can be functional yet artistic at the same time.

From my further researches in Morandi's still life paintings and his personal life. I have chosen to use the colour gold and mustard to mimic brass as the materials for my door handles. I have developed 3 door handles based on my artist models from previous exercises. The first one handle can be attached on either side of the door, the two loops overlaps each other to create a seamless illusion. The second handle simply has one tube with two half circle bands attached to it. The door handle penetrates through the door which can be pulled from either side. Finally, I designed a long triangular minimlistic styled handle, which also can be duplicated on either side of the door.

P.S. The first attempt of door handle making with play dough was not such a good idea.
